Bullfighting Aesthetics: The ‘Art’ of Toreo

Whilst I try yet again to write a proper post on the aesthetics of toreo, both viewed from the outside, and from the perspective of an aficionado, you can click here to read the post I wrote last year about its development as an art form ending in the stunning performance by the matador de toros José Mari Manzanares. The torero himself and his team liked it so much they are currently translating it into Spanish for inclusion on his own website – one of the greater compliments I have ever received.
